IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ONCE YOU ARRIVE AT CCC, PLEASE VISIT OUR INFORMATION BOOTH IN THE MAIN FOYER. STAFF WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE!
Where can I find you?
We are located at 71 Downing Street (on top of Baseball Hill) in Marysville (Fredericton), New Brunswick. You can visit our main church website at www.CapitalCommunity.ca.
What time does church start?
On Sundays, our check-in station opens at 10:30 (we begin admitting children to classes at this time). Class begins at 11:00. For the sake of our teachers and volunteers, and the experience of our students, check-in stations do not admit children after 11:10 (please note that our nursery accepts children for the entire duration of service).
On Wednesdays, children meet in the lower auditorium at 7:00.
Kids Prayer (Saturday evening) begins at 7:00 in the lower auditorium.
Will my child be safe?
Besides keeping our building and equipment up to code and safety standards, we have implemented several security features in our programs at CCC. Every volunteer in our children's program has undergone reference checks, a personal interview and a criminal record check, in addition to other screening procedures.
Teachers are always scheduled in pairs, and often there are 3 or more teachers in a classroom at all times. All teachers and children's volunteers are trained in an internationally recognized abuse-prevention program called "Plan to Protect" and are aware of proper procedures for receiving & releasing children, responding to injury, etc. Please see our staff pages above for more information on our lead teachers.
We operate a check-in station on Sundays where children are checked in by volunteers before going to class (or nursery). This computerized check-in system keeps record of which children - and which teachers - were in our Education Wing on any given date. In addition, only children and screened, scheduled volunteers are allowed in our secured Education Wing during program hours. Parents are required to pick up AND drop off their children; in addition, nursery children receive a numbered tag that corresponds to a tag given to the parent for the duration of the service.
What do you teach?
We teach from God's Word, the Bible. We use a variety curricula for our different grades and ages, but our lessons are always rooted in the truth of God's Word.
Do you provide childcare for children under 2 years of age?
We have a fully-staffed, bright and cheerful nursery located at the top of the ramp adjacent to the foyer. This nursery runs during all of our services. Children from birth to age 3 may be dropped off at any time during a service. In addition, on Sunday mornings, a toddlers class runs for children ages 18 months-3 years on the lower level.
What happens if my child needs me during a service?
A teacher or an usher will always notify you if your child needs you during a service.
